I absolutely loved WebGPU and WGSL by Example: Fractals, Image Effects, Ray-Tracing, Procedural Geometry, 2D/3D, Particles, Simulations! It completely changed my perspective on webgpu. At first I wasn't sure about wgsl, but by chapter 3 I was completely hooked. The way the author explains wgsl is so clear and relatable - it's like they're talking directly to you. I've already recommended this to all my friends who are interested in Web Development & Design. What I appreciated most was how the book made Books feel so accessible. I'll definitely be rereading this one - there's so much to take in!

WebGPU and WGSL by Example: Fractals, Image Effects, Ray-Tracing, Procedural Geometry, 2D/3D, Particles, Simulations offers a compelling take on webgpu, though not without flaws. While the treatment of Computers & Technology is excellent, I found the sections on ai less convincing. The author makes some bold claims about webgpu that aren't always fully supported. That said, the book's strengths in discussing JavaScript more than compensate for any weaknesses. Readers looking for graphics will find much to appreciate here, even if not every argument lands perfectly. Overall, a valuable addition to the literature on graphics, if not the definitive work.

Has anyone else read WebGPU and WGSL by Example: Fractals, Image Effects, Ray-Tracing, Procedural Geometry, 2D/3D, Particles, Simulations? I'd love to discuss graphics!
Interesting perspective. I saw webgpu differently - more as simulation.
For me, the real strength was visualization, but I see what you mean about wgsl.
I'm not sure I agree about simulation. To me, it seemed more like webgpu.
What did you think about programming? That's what really stayed with me.
Yes! And don't forget about programming - that part was amazing.
